I use a combination of empirically-supported treatments, including but not limited to: Person-Centered Therapy, Pragmatic/Experiential Therapy for Couples (PET-C), Gottman Integrative Therapy, Bowen Family Systems Therapy, Islamic Integrated Psychotherapy (IIP), Psychological Assessment, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing

Guiding Principles

My therapeutic practice focuses heavily on introspection and self-discovery, as each individual’s journey is unique. I apply doctoral skills to my practice, using psychological assessment and implementation. I strongly believe cultural competence is necessary in therapeutic practice, and I am familiar with several Desi cultures and am semi-fluent in Hindi. I am a member of the Muslim Association of Psychological Services (MAPS) and the founder of the New Jersey chapter.
