I’ve worked in diverse settings, including inpatient psychiatric hospitals, community mental health centers, correctional facilities, and private practice. I’ve assessed and treated individuals, couples, and families across the lifespan with varying needs and mental health diagnoses.
I am certified to provide Prolonged Exposure Therapy, which is an evidenced-based, manualized protocol for the treatment of Posttraumatic Stress Disorder. I also have extensive experience working with juveniles with sexual behavior problems and adults convicted of sex offenses and interpersonal violence. I am licensed to practice in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
My treatment approach is trauma-informed and largely delivered within a cognitive-behavioral framework. Elements from other approaches are incorporated depending on individual needs.
I espouse a strengths-based approach, drawing on the individual resourcefulness and resiliency of those with whom I work. With the establishment of a supportive and collaborative therapeutic relationship, I strive to guide clients to reclaim their lives and live meaningful, purposeful, and productive life.
