Heather Foley
LCSW, CCS
Thank you for this opportunity to share my background as a helping professional. A bit about me, I have 20 years’ experience as a direct-care social worker, serving people with diverse ages, backgrounds, a range of mental health needs, as well as families, individuals, groups and couples with various interpersonal, emotional, behavioral, and relationship needs. At the heart of my work, I have been a licensed clinician for 17 years, and a certified clinical supervisor for over 10 years.
I graduated from Rutgers University, and enjoy working alongside motivated change-makers. I have a list of certifications in evidenced-based treatment modalities, including sex-specific therapy, trauma-informed CBT, Structural Family Therapy, DBT, SART, crisis intervention, behavioral modification, and EMDR, as well as a certification in HR Management. I have been in private practice for 5 years, after over a decade as Program Director, Clinical Supervisor, and Administrator at the highest level of service inpatient psychiatric facilities for youth and families in NJ. I have had the honor of having my work featured in Scientific American, and in 2014, I was awarded Clinician of the Year by the NJ Alliance for Children, Youth and Families. I have supervised dozens of clinicians to achieve their clinical licensure, and I have been a corporate trainer, clinical supervisor, consultant, and compliance/QA advisor for numerous companies throughout SNJ. My colleagues count on me for practical advice on complex clinical challenges, ethical considerations, program and employee development, and personnel matters. I’m an LCSW in NJ and provisionally in NY and PA, and I consider it a great privilege to do this work. When it comes to supportive care, I envision my own loved ones looking back at me, and continually ask, “Is this the care I’d wish them to receive?”
Thank you for taking the time to read about my career. I look forward to working together to build your success story.
